Frederick Paul Ash

Fred Ash, 60, passed away unexpectedly from a cardiac event on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at his home in Nevada City, California. He was the loving husband and father of Barbara D. Ash (nee Havig) and Lauren E. Ash. Born in Berks County, Reading, Pennsylvania, Fred was the son of the late Glenn O. and Barbara E. Ash. In addition to his wife and daughter, Fred is survived by his sister, Marie Ellerby, and his nephews, Justin Ellerby (Marta) and Benjamin Ellerby (Ioanna). He leaves one great-niece, Zeynep Ellerby, born on his 60th birthday. Among dear relatives remaining in Pennsylvania, Fred is survived by his loving aunt, Marian Frederick. Fred was also the beloved uncle of Cameo Rockwell, Caleb Rockwell, Koren Tippett (Ryan), and Kyle Tippett, and a treasured brother-in-law to Ann Havig Reich and Ginger and Bruce Fodge. Fred served in the U.S. Air Force from 1980-1985. Employed by Lockheed Martin for nearly 38 years, he was a great friend and respected colleague to many. Fred’s memorial service and wake will be held on 1 April 2023 from 11:30-4:30 at Gold Vibe Kombuchary 12615 Charles Drive, Grass Valley, CA.
